Happy Halloween

Hi Everyone,
We have been very busy with so much going on for S.P.R.G. We have been to the Museum of Army Flying in Middle Wallop and also we went back to Explosion Museum in Gosport , check out our Investigation Page for all write-ups. I have been collaborating with Dave Scanlan who is the founder of the Hampshire Ghost Club and also an author with books such as Haunted Wiltshire and Haunted Hampshire both available at Amazon, Dave needed some first hand accounts of some of the sites we have investigated in Sussex for his new book Haunted Sussex. We have just completed filming with a film crew for a documentary on the well known most haunted site in Horsham, Doomsday Church. Hopefully if there is a good response from the film festivals where it is going to be shown it may make your TV screens, it was a good night with a professional crew, they supplied us with food and drink and looked after us. We were contacted by Worthing District Paranormal Society to take on a case which had just come through to them, we were only too happy to oblige as they are busy at the moment and this family are living in fear, that will be dealt with this month. We were also contacted by someone within our local area who is experiencing paranormal phenomena in their house, we have already been along to interview the client and also have a look and feel around the house, this one unlike the other one has no nastiness about it just spirit that hasn't passed over. We shall be visiting the Dolphin Pub in Littlehampton in November so as we have never been there before we are looking forward to it.
Once again Halloween is upon us, I shall be busy like most of you, carving pumpkins, decorating the house, digging out my costume ready to go trick or treating with the kids and getting quite excited at the fact, we are all kids at heart so enjoy.

Im going to sign off now, I know that my posts have been quite a time between each other, I have been busy with work, the group, home and fighting against a PC that just seems to want to break down constantly so please bear with me.

Hi everyone,
Sorry its been a while since the last article, it has been quite busy here for S.P.R.G, we have had quite a few invests, one of them being the Hippodrome Theatre in Eastbourne, it was nice to return to that venue as before we was there with a film crew and could not conduct a proper investigation, the write-up should be going up soon but what I will tell you is what a FANTASTIC night it was for phenomena, we had about seven guests with us that night and right from the off when I had gathered everyone around the stage for a briefing we had things going on that everyone witnessed. In July we are taking part in a documentary about one of Horsham's spookiest places, Doomsday Church, the crew have been finding out and interviewing people that have had experienced strange goings on there, they have found out so much about the history of the place that I cant wait to see it myself once finished, we will be performing an all nighter there with the film crew so hopefully we will have some good phenomena happening. A few of the team have had a mini invest at Bodmin Jail so we will get a little write-up on that aswell on the Investigations page. We are returning to Explosion museum this year, it has so much there and so much more to see that one night there isn't enough, there is also another museum in the pipeline that I am working on but once we are booked in I shall release more details on this.

At the moment our membership is closed, we have had a lot going on with the group from outside interests that have messed us around and basically have used us so for the moment I need to bring everything back home to the group as it is and keep it private, this does not mean though that if anyone out there needs their premises investigated and cleared or if anyone needs us for advice, please do not hesitate to contact us through the Contact Us page on the site, we will get back to you as soon as we can or use the telephone number where you will come straight through to me.

I am still waiting on news from the Disabilities trust regarding a charity event that they want us to host, so as soon as I have info on that I will let you know, once we have done that we will not be getting involved in anymore events until further notice.

Anyway if I have any exciting news come up before the next post on here we will put it up under the News section of the site.

Another busy year!

What a schedule we have coming up this year, we are investigating 2 theatres this year, both down in Eastbourne, the first one is the Devonshire Park Theatre, which as I write this we have already done, please watch the site for the write up, a very interesting night indeed, the second is a return to the Hippodrome Theatre, we have already investigated this one last year during our engagement with the film crew, the series we were filming was hopefully going to be shown on Living TV, but due to circumstances that im not going to go into the series was pulled halfway through, we are now awaiting edited footage from this and hopefully it will be released as a DVD sold on this site. We have been approached by yet another film crew to film a documentary on Doomsday, we have agreed and filming should start mid-may. We are heading up towards Woodchester Mansion in March to be involved in a charity event for Comic Relief, talking of charities, we are now working closely with the Disabilities Trust to host their events for them, we will post up the dates when we know but to apply to be part of these you need to go through the Disabilities Trust site. We also have Bodmin Gaol booked for November but more on that nearer the time. As you know I am an administrator with the UKBPA (UK British Paranormal Association) and we are now taking certified members, if you go onto the site, www.ukbpa.org, you can sign up there, once references have been checked and you become certified, you will be entitled to discounts at venues and online stores, as well as attend meetings and recieve newsletters. As I said this year is proving to be yet another busy year in the life of S.P.R.G.

Happy new year!!!

Happy new year to one and all. Well here we are in 2009, we already have about 4 places lined up for the year, look out for our event timetable which will be posted up pretty soon on the website, that way you can see what we as a team are upto through the year. A lot of our time last year was taken up with filming with a TV crew, unfortunatley things did not go to plan (long story) but hopefully out of what we did film will be a DVD which will be sold from website. This year we will be holding some charity overnight ghosthunts for the Chestnut Tree House, which is a childrens hospice based in the Sussex area, we have also been approached by the Disabilities Trust to host a charity event for them as they are celebrating 30yrs and still going strong, details to come on that. We have been asked to attend an investigation with a group based in Wiltshire called Grave Investigations, we gladly agreed and will be visiting Woodchester Mansion with them in March, in return they will be attending one of ours coming up in May, watch website for more details on these invests. Hopefully at some point this year we will also be attending an investigation with a group called NightWatch, this group is mainly made up from the investigators in the series "The Ghost Detectives", in which our patron Andy Matthews was part of, Nightwatch is run by Graham Matthews, his brother. Look out for Andy's new series on BBC Ireland, it starts on the 21st January at 10:45PM.

Halloween is upon us

Sorry for the late update, so much has happened since the last post, our engagement with the film crew is now over so we as a team can now move on and do what we do best. We have many exciting investigations coming up with quite a few private houses to investigate and if needed, clearing. Our next investigation takes us to a private house where the family feel they are being pestered by a Poltergeist, Poltergeist being a German word meaning noisy spirit. The family are experiencing all kinds of phenomena from cups smashing to doors slamming to beds being shaken while trying to sleep, the full story can be accessed here.
We now have a new member amongst us, her name is Helen, so a big welcome to her. For now we are not taking anymore people on, while we were filming the groups work with private houses have been building up so we need to concentrate on those that need our help. We are hoping to be going into Bodmin Jail pretty soon to do an investigation for charity with another group that is based in Wiltshire, they are known as Grave Investigations, more on that as we get it. If you would like us to run a charity event for you please do not hesitate to contact us. Halloween is upon us, one of the teams favourite time of year, we were due to be helping out at a charity event in Pevensey on Halloween but unfortunately it had to be cancelled. Work, Work, Work

Its been quite a busy time in S.P.R.G, the filming has taken us to some fantastic places, from an old mine to a disused railway station, I cant reveal too much about it but we have had some interesting things going on. We still have our own investigations to do but I have put them on hold at the moment, one of the places we have got is a 500 year old farmhouse, they have quite a bit of Paranormal phenomena going on there. Have you checked out our merchandise page yet, there's various bits and pieces on there to choose from, how about signing our guestbook, we would really like to know who is watching the site and maybe you could also give us ideas on what you would like to see on the site. The new UK British Paranormal Association website is up and running now, I am on the admin and deal with all technical and venue related enquires, you can find the site at www.ukbpa.org , the site is still under construction but the guys are working really hard and is looking great. If you click on the Pevensey courthouse section on the homepage you can read how you could get involved on a ghost night, believe me it will be a night to remember. Talking of Pevensey, we will be involved in the Halloween Pevensey fundraiser, why dont you all come along, there will be plenty of stalls including face-painting, apple bobbing and tombola's, this will be taking place on the 31st October in the car park of Pevensey Castle between 6:30 and 9:30, we hope to see you there. We have just had a new member join, her name is Helen, we are looking forward to working with her in future investigations. Ok I will leave it there now and will update you soon with anymore news.

Welcome

Welcome to S.P.R.G's blog, with so much going on in the group at the moment I felt the only way to keep you guys updated was to create a blog. I will try to update hopefully every couple of weeks after our meetings, at the moment we nearly have a full membership with the only space about to be filled, our nerwest members that have just joined are Emma and Ed, you can read their profiles under the members section, we have 4 more spaces left for associate members but they are only to be filled by people who full members have recommended to us. We have a meditation workshop on the go now which is conducted by Angie with Loraine assisting her, and also we have on board Debi Ives, she is a professional Yoga teacher who also specializes in meditation, she is the groups spiritual advisor and assists Angie and Loraine in conducting our workshop. We have now updated our uniform and equipment, we are now using a 4 camera night vision system which goes into a DVR (digital video recorder) which I hope to prove very beneficial for our investigations, hopefully one day we will have that ultimate tool, the Thermal Imaging Camera, who knows. We were approached a few months ago by a film crew and we are now in the process of filming a series, more details of this will follow once completed, because of this we have put on hold for now other investigations. We are now members of the UK British Paranormal Association with myself being made a representative, with this I am hoping to help the other reps and the founder Brian Lambert of ESP bring in codes and ethics into the paranormal investigation world. I hope this Blog will be usefull to you, in doing this you can see how much of an active group we are and will keep our regulars updated of our whereabouts and projects that we have on the go, with so much in the pipeline I can see that this is going to be a busy time.
